Opus V Spoiler with Chocobo Joe! Posted on behalf of Joe Leszczynski Hi guys! Joe Leszczynski reporting to you with a brand new spoiler from Opus V! Some of you may know that I picked up the nickname “Chocobo Joe” for my win in 2017 for my Ice/Wind Mambo De Chocobo deck, so it shouldn’t be any surprise what kind of card I have for you today.Chocobo Knight! Much like Izana 3-049, Chocobo Knight will allow you to search for 1 card with Job Chocobo or Name Chocobo, but Chocobo Knight also let’s you dull to play a card Job Chocobo or Name Chocobo of cost four or less for free! This ability comes at the cost of one extra crystal point to play, compared to it’s predecessor Izana.
That’s a pretty good deal in my opinion! Currently, we have eight chocobos that we can look for with Chocobo Knight Six of those eight targets all bear the job Standard Unit so when thinking on how best to utilize your new chocobo riding moogle, always be sure to keep in mind way to boost their generally small power.
Cards like Arc 2-050 and Maria 1-083 are easy go-to cards in Wind to keep your feather friends protected until they can party up to create a stampede to push through your opponent’s defenses! But, if you’re going to play like me, you’re going to always be on the look out for exciting and creative ways to use new cards. Zargabaath 2-034 was a card that I managed to use to great effect by using his auto-ability to play 3CP forwards that generated me value either by making my opponent discard, or by having me search my deck for a card. Chocobo Knight would 100% been in the 50 for my original chocobo deck as he fits perfectly with that aggressive line of play. Why not try out Hope 4-068 too while you’re hunting for a new streategy? Hope generate immense value by allowing you to search for one Card Name Alexander, and has the ability to dull himself to activate any forward.
With this ability, you can target Chocobo Knight to play two free chocobos on a single turn! Depending on the chocobos you’re playing, they may even start the offensive as soon as they come out!
What do you guys think? I’m hoping that everyone can give Chocobo Knight a try and keep teaching people not to under estimate chocobos like I did. They make look like denizens of Sesame Street, but don’t let their cute looks deceive you!
